Oxygen Gas Plant for Steel Manufacturing and AOD Furnace

Oxygen Gas Plant for Steel Manufacturing & AOD Furnace Industry

Description

High Purity Cryogenic Oxygen & Nitrogen Plants

Specialists for Steel Mills | EAF | AOD Converters | Rolling Mills

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our company has been manufacturing high purity cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen plants. With over four decades of engineering experience, we design, manufacture, and install industrial gas plants for steel producers, foundries, mines and processing industries across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Our UIP-Series plants are specifically engineered for direct pipeline oxygen supply to:

  • Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking operations
  • AOD converters and stainless steel production
  • Rolling mills and hot-rolling applications
  • Ferro-alloy smelting and special steel production

UIP-SERIES: INTERNAL COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY

The UIP-Series incorporates proprietary internal compression technology a significant advancement over conventional cryogenic plants that require external oxygen compressors.

Key technical principle: Liquid oxygen inside the coldbox is directly converted into high-pressure gas at the required pipeline pressure (up to 40 Bar), eliminating the need for a separate oxygen compressor entirely.

KEY ADVANTAGES FOR STEEL PLANT OPERATORS

Key Advantage Detail
No External O₂ Compressor Required Pressure up to 40 Bar directly from coldbox — eliminates costly compression equipment and maintenance.
High Purity: 99.7% O₂ Meets the exact purity requirements of EAF steelmaking, AOD converters, and rolling mills.
Direct Pipeline Supply Gas delivered continuously at required pressure — no cylinders, no handling, no interruptions
Proven Since 1985 40+ years of cryogenic plant manufacturing experience with installations worldwide.
Scalable Capacity From 5 TPD to 200+ TPD — right-sized for your plant's oxygen demand.
Plug & Play Compact, pre-assembled units for smaller steel plants requiring fast deployment.

WHY ON-SITE GENERATION VS CYLINDER / BULK SUPPLY

Comparison Factor On-Site Plant  Cylinder / Bulk Delivery
Gas Cost per m³ Lowest — produced on-site High — includes logistics & margin
Supply Reliability Continuous, 24/7 pipeline Subject to delivery delays
Purity Control Consistent 99.7% guaranteed Variable, dependent on supplier
Pressure Availability Up to 40 Bar direct Requires regulator/booster
Long-term ROI Payback typically 1–2 years Ongoing recurring cost
Scalability Expandable as production grows Requires re-negotiation
